Waves by Mr Probz slow version with lyrics and me
My visual interpretation of the lyrics of Mr. Probz's slow version of his song "Waves". The lyrics are on the screen in both English and, hopefully correctly translated by Google, in Mandarin At the end of this video are the credits which include the various locations seen in this video as well as the credits for Mr. Probz and the Brussels slow version of this song. I am also in number of scenes in this video. The video was edited using Cyberlink PowerDirector.

That's what friend are for
Просмотров 4724 года назад
This music video is about friends and friendships and the feelings that are left after they are gone. The lyrics of the song in this video that are most impactful to me are, "Friends are like warm clothes in the night air; best when they're old and you miss them the most when they're gone". The song in this video is the 1972 B.J. Thomas version of the song, "That's what friend are for". The son...

Conan the Barbarian Turkey

The theme from Conan the Barbarian goes well with this video of 8 turkeys in my backyard early this March morning.The one male turkey was showing off his feathers in a way to impress and guard the 7 female turkeys with him. I had to edit the song by pasting clips of the song so as to make it fit the length of video. Turkeys and deer are frequent visitors feeding and resting on my property.
A Walk on the Driveway In the Black Forest jpg

This video shows my view during a typical Spring morning walk to get the newspaper. As I filmed the video of this particular walk, I imagined the happy sound of the song, "A walk in the Black Forest" would go well in this video. I came across a version by R.Jaybird.Smith that I felt went better with my video than the original 1965 version by Horst Jankowski. PS. The "dancing diamonds" that you ...
Hard driving sound of "Long Time" by Boston

This song( music and lyrics) is perfect for a hard driving sound along the back roads in the Fall. I filmed the video on the way to the beach at Seaside Park in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The video was made with a camcorder on a tripod as I drove. Unfortunately, there were times with sun glare. For some reason, the resolution of the video is much poorer on RUclips compared to other video players.

This Chinese story was probably brought back to Europe by Marco Polo and which was the likely inspiration for Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet". @@SummerSong.17 If you want to understand me, there are 2 quotes from the novel and the movie ,"The Razor's Edge", that I hope someday could be used, in part, to describe the person I hope to be: How Somerset Maugham describes Larry Darrell in the opening lines of THE RAZOR'S EDGE "The man I am writing about is not famous. It may be that he never will be. It may be that when his life at last comes to an end he will leave no more trace of his sojourn on earth than a stone thrown into a river leaves on the surface of the water. But it may be that the way of life that he has chosen for himself and the peculiar strength and sweetness of his character may have an ever-growing influence over his fellow men so that, long after his death perhaps, it may be realized that there lived in this age a very remarkable creature." From the movie "The Razor's Edge" Somerset Maugham speaking of Larry "Larry has found what we all want and very few of us ever get. I don't think anyone can fail to be better and nobler and kinder for knowing him. You see, Goodness is the greatest force in the world and he's got it." I hope the above quotes could be used to describe you( just use your name in place of that of Larry) BYW, I just noticed your name as SummerSong. I go to the beach everyday regardless of the weather. I listen to music while there. My friends call me "The King of the Beach" Chris Rea probably wrote that song about me. Many of his songs are about the beach and summer. I am a hardcore beach bum. Three movies describe me and all three main characters in those moves have my first name. The movies are "The Beach". "Lifeguard" and "Casablanca". I was named after Bogart's character in that movie. Additionally, my name on flickr is knight_of_the_beach.

      @@DrinkingStar I have not seen the movie. However I just looked into it. Larry sounds like a very thoughtful man. I think most people have parts of Larry in them. I also, was not too unlike both women he became involved with. I spoke of the innocence I had many years ago. Life has a way of putting us in a war, that is to say, sadly ugly seeps in whether we want it or not. I'd like to think there is still some of that innocence in me. But you go to war and you come home realizing you really can't go back. Larry knew that as he attempted to live life modestly. But his mistake was getting invovled with a woman who did not appreciate his beauty. She longed for the riches of this world. Then he falls for a woman with great conflict in her. Did he ever find himself? Did he find beauty again? I hope he did. The lesson I take from this is we can't really go back but there is still redemption to be found if your search is true. My search within at this age may find a naivety. It wasn't an intentional find but it is good to know I am not jaded by this world and what it loves. I am in the world but not of it. What is awesome however, is I played one of my favorite songs for over 60 years and I find a lovely comment from a gentle soul who understood exactly what I had commented about. How unexpected and sublime. I also love the sea. I live right off the Gulf of Mexico and I will never leave here because here is where I want to be. Too bad you aren't close by because I would enjoy the summer breezes on the shore with a stranger who doesn't seem strange at all.

      @@SummerSong.17 Sadly we are too far apart to sit by the sea and learn something about life as we talk and listen to music. I believe there is much to be learned form others and I sure there is much to learn from you. I think it is because of spending time on the beach, especially if you have listened to music while there, that the beach and sea have allowed you to become the person you are. From what you have said, It appears you have read "The Razor's Edge" . If you decide to view the movie, be sure to see the 1946 version. It is that version that changed me into the person I am. I was 14 when I saw the movie. Another movie somewhat similar is the 1937 version of "Lost Horizons". I posted a video on RUclips with excerpts from that movie. "Music is a revelation deeper than any philosophy"(Beethoven) revealing who you truly are if you have the courage to look deeply into that mirror of self-introspection while "pondering on fallen ideals such as romance & love" having learned "laughter is the key to the heart" and music the sound of the soul. (I took 3 quotes to make this into a single thought. The last quote is from the song "Sweet Judy Blue Eyes").

    This song brings back innocence, hope, and thankfulness. One Christmas Day, in 1962, I walked over to the Dearborn city ice rink. And there was a young man, with a parks and recreation sweatshirt on, going around the rink while holding onto the sides. When he came by me, I said "How did you get this job?" Because he couldn't skate. And he said, "they asked me if I had skates, and my father did. So I got the job." After 5 short years, waiting for my love to finish college and the marine corps, he was mine. He was my winter love.

It is a love story between a French man and his French wife and the woman he met and loves in Japan. Example of others filmed totally at Seaside Park include: November Rain, Nothing's Happening by the Sea in March at Seaside Park, Suzanne , Its a Beautiful Day Driving along Seaside Park in the Fall, Theme from the Summer of '42, as well as a number of others. "Sandy Cove" was filmed on Fayerweather Island. The The red cedar and pine trees in the video were gotten from my yard and planted on the island about 35 years ago. At that time I was the vice president of "The friends of Seaside Park. There are 2 Richard Marx songs that were filmed at night from the seawall just west of the statue of P.T. Barnum. P.S. I am at Seaside Park nearly everyday and, in the summer, I also go at night.

    As a teenager, whenever I was sad I would go to my room , turn the lights out, close my eyes and let this song soothe me. It still affects me that way today. This song is such a special gift to all of us! Thank you.

      Thanks for the comment. I too remember this song as a teenager when it first came out. This song created a very relaxing feeling which I tried to create in video. One image I had when I first heard this song was that of a young couple walking at night in a tree lined park while the snow was gently falling. I wish I had been able to find scenes similar to what I imaged.

    Hi 👋 I’m here. Enjoying the wonderful scenery and background music. Love to see the trees turning color. Too bad I can’t use the music that match my videos because of the copyright issues. You gave song credits at the end of the video, would this help?

    • @DrinkingStar
      @DrinkingStar 10 месяцев назад

      Yes, I think you might be able to use the music if you place the credits to the music somewhere within the video. I know some of my videos have been removed because of copyright infringement but it might have been that I did not post the credit within the video.

    Actually and Literally they're more than stupid-trashy-brainless-roemo and juliet. They're real and they have brains and they just fell in love and they can't live without each other. That's it. DON'T ever COMPARE them with that brainless-trashy-horny-characters of the play.

    • @DrinkingStar
      @DrinkingStar 11 месяцев назад

      Thank you for leaving a comment. The dialogue is in Mandarin. The sound of the music concerto creates the feeling and imagery of the dialogue in the various scene in this music video. You should see the movie and, if you do not speak Mandarin, you should listen to the concerto as you watch the movie. I think then you will understand why dialogue was not necessary. P.S..... read the other comments left by others to see what they think.

    This is Americas version of "Waltzing Matilda" as misinterpreted, and poignant .

    • @DrinkingStar
      @DrinkingStar Год назад

      I thing this song in my video is more akin to the Anzacs of WWI. Having looked up the meaning of the song "Waltzing Matilda" on Wikipedia, the meaning of the lyrics have nothing to do with the military. However, having looked up "Waltzing Matlida" on RUclips, I see that it is the Patriotic Song for Australians. Wikipedia stated in its heading "Military units": "It is used as the quick march of the 1st Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment and as the official song of the US 1st Marine Division, commemorating the time the unit spent in Australia during the Second World War. Part of the tune is used in the British Royal Tank Regiment's slow march, because an early British tank model was called "Matilda". " So I presume patriotic theme and the Tank Regiment reference from Wikipeida is the association you were referring to. Thanks for making me aware of another point of view in understanding and appreciating this song. The version I have of "Waltzing Matilda" is by Harry Belafonte(ruclips.net/video/U9Fcr74FeiU/видео.html). BTW, You might also like my music video of "That's what friend are for" (ruclips.net/video/ADHhW6jxIZo/видео.html). Near the end of that song, there is a scene with 2 Australian soldiers drinking with a US sailor. BTW, many years ago, I was made an honorary citizen of OZ( Australia) by a friend who is retired police officer akin to "Mad Max"(Road Warrior). He sent me a photo of that document. Also, a woman who worked in the immigration dept. made me an honorary citizen of OZ. Finally, a woman in New Zealand, who claims to be a Maori princess, made me an honorary Maori. I am humbled and honored to be considered an honorary citizen of both great nations(Oz and Kiwi Land). And thanks for leaving a comment. I really appreciate it.

      @@DrinkingStar My understanding of waltzing Matilda ( A reference to hiking with a swaying backpack ,) Was about a young man sent off with parade to fight in Gallipoli. Then used as cannon foder . Getting his legs blown off , never more to enjoy hiking with his back pack. Only to return home to a somewhat ungrateful public . But I could very well be wrong

      Thanks for the kind comment. I hope you have seen the movie, "Summer of 42". If I remember correctly it cam out in 1972. BTW, I am starting to get the urge to make another music video. I just need to hear the right song and connect it to images that flash through my mind as I hear the lyrics. Hopefully a new song will come along soon and it will inspire me to make a video of what my mind's eye envisions as I listen to the lyrics. There are 2 song I would like to make videos of but the lyrics make it hard to find the images to match the lyrics. I have been toying with "El Condor Pasa" using either Andre Rieu's or Zamfir's version of that song but I see so many good music video versions already.
